“Because the NBA season moves, you only get 28 days of practice and you’re in it. Twenty-eight days is nothing if you put seven or eight exhibitions in. Then you have travel days, and you give them a day off somewhere in there. Then you’re down to 16, 17 days of practice. And then the season comes and there’s not a lot of practice. It’s hard when you’re playing 82 games.” Fratello, whose last NBA gig with the Grizzlies ended 30 games into the 2006-07 season, is relishing his job with Ukraine, where he was lured by its basketball federation president Sasha Volkov, one of his former players in Atlanta. He will not, however, completely rule out another NBA shot, if an opportunity were to arise. “But you have to get a call first.

He’s coming off of a season that saw him earn Sixth Man of the Year accolades with more points, but faded late in the year. He’s been suspended for failing a drug test to start the year, but Smith is going to be a key offensive weapon. Raymond Felton and Tyson Chandler played well in their roles for majority of the season. Amar’e Stoudemire seems to be at full health but the question is how will he and Melo fare when on the floor together. The Knicks also added a number of other key players on their roster such as Kenyon Martin, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Metta World Peace. With a roster that includes a number of players that perform well in specific moments, it will be interesting to see how well they mesh and share the ball.

there’s outright racists. We won’t discuss those people other than to say their opinions don’t matter anyway and thankfully those people are few and fortunately very far between. As for the NFL vs the NBA comment. Why do people feel the need to compare the sports? First and foremost, I like following the NBA because I just like basketball played at an extremely high level. Full stop. I will write an article dedicated to how is basically impossible to run the NBA like the NFL, but I will say I don’t understand how liking the NFL keeps some people from enjoying the NBA.

Andre Drummond Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports During his rookie season, Andre Drummond showed critics that hes not the liability scouts feared he was. His motor was good, his decision-making was excellent, and his ability to impact the glass was everything fans could have asked for. The problem is that the team refused to throw him into the deep end, as it held him to just 20.7 minutes per game. During training camp, the Detroit Pistons must figure out how they want to use the 20-year-old. In his inaugural season, he shot 60.8 percent on 5.7 attempts per contest, and he blocked 1.6 shots on the other end.

Mark Cuban would have paid extra for a Mavericks option there. However you do get to play out a couple of scenarios. Which sounds like a fun little diversion. Clever idea by the folks at 2K Sports. Just for the record, the Knicks most likely do not have the money to chase LeBron next summer, not without a lot of help. They would need Amare Stoudemire to decide he wants to surrender the $23.4 million last year of his contract and Andrea Bargnani to decide to opt out of the $11.5 million in the last year of his deal.
